THE WEDDING handspun art yarn. $105
This is a 42 yard skein with pieces from a vintage wedding gown spun with various fiber goodies. Along with lace and threads, there is merino, alpaca, a bit of cashmere and BFL. There are some pearls and sequins spun in too!
There is something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. The old is the gown pieces, the new is the fiber, the borrowed are the yarns from other Etsy sellers and the blue is a bit of plying thread.
This was spun inch by inch on a spindle. It took weeks to complete.
I’m all for yarn, love yarn, but I can’t possibly give this some yarn love. $105 for 42 yards of wedding dress/alpaca/seqiuns masquerading as art. At first I though “Wow, there’s bits of wedding dress in there…”, then I thought “OMG! There’s bits of wedding dress in there!”. That was either some ugly looking wedding dress or someone had a nasty divorce.
