Professional Photography Fail

This is not from Etsy but anyone who follows my Twitter may remember last week I tweeted about an awful photo we sell in work and I couldn’t take a picture of it. Well, I found it on the publishers website so I thought I’d just let you all in on what it was.

I don’t know if it’s because I’ve seen them time and time again or because I know it’s so easy to do, or because it always seems to be used on photos of kids but I’ve come to hate this effect.

Another culprit is Kim Anderson.

Were these popular back in the day? Forced photographs of kids, grayscaled and colourized? They’re depressing.
If this is what people are lead to believe as skilled and professional photography, no wonder they think they can just mash some filter on a photo and call it art.

Boy, your comments are right on target. Must be fallout from the Anne Geddes craze.
