NEW to Twilight Temptations – party invitations for that special party you’re planning! Created on black cardstock, these would be perfect for that New Moon party in November! Get a head start now by having the invitations ready.

Surely this breaches copyright? The whole store is dedicated to the Twilight saga. That’s one obsessed grandma.
In her other store she also sells cards with a very familiar phrase: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=22929914.

I really wish someone would alert the Twilight people about all the twilight crap being sold on etsy, but they may not care that much. When I see tons of it being sold on etsy, it just kind of makes me cringe. Oh, well, what can you do? And I’m sick to death of keeping calm and carrying on, too.

#1 why would anyone want those fugly kids on party invitations(or anything else for that matter)?
#2 why not print them off your computer like this seller did? (Oh, like we can’t tell??)
#3 Flagging them won’t do any good. It’s a copyright issue and Etsy won’t get involved until Meyers says something.
#4 her printer is streaky, she needs a new one.

  3. This kind of crap is all over Etsy and Artfire. It makes me sick. It is one of the reasons I am leaving both. I don’t accept the bs that the sites are not responsible for monitoring obvious copyright and trademark infringement.

YouTube is constantly getting harassed over copyright issues. If they can be held responsible for their users content, so should Etsy. I don’t get why, just because something’s handmade, it should be immune to criticism.

I’m just fed up of hearing about Twilight altogether. IMO the printer isn’t streaky enough ;-) .

If I owned the Twilight franchise, I would consider Etsy to be a great source of free advertising. For every bit of home made fluff the girls buy on a handmade site, they will spend hundreds of $$$ for legit merchandise. YouTube doesn’t have the reputation of being a community made up almost entirely of females with loads of time to waste, and surplus cash to spend on nonessentials. A community that devotes its annual summer (in the Northern Hemisphere) marketing push to the conga line of MAMA, WEDDING, BAY-BEE (yEAH). I actually saw a FP yesterday that admin made ‘inspired by the guys’ that had what looked like a bunch of tiny coffins in it. Paging Doctor Freud!

Etsy, as it is right now, is the most entertaining reality show I’ve ever seen.

Not only does the conga line push MAMA, WEDDING, etc., but every holiday that comes along is now a great big marketing opportunity. Welcome to the new Holiday economy! Since there is no major holiday until Halloween, (after July 4th) people have now resorted to the total bullshit of “Christmas in July.” This is such a load of horseshit I can’t even describe it. It’s bad enough to see the crap that is hawked from October through January, but to have to endure it in the summer is too much.

OMG I just want to beat whoever keeps promoting weddings on Etsy around the head with the heaviest wedding related item I can find, or smother them with dresses and cake.
