Slug on a Lettuce

Brooch (don’t really know it’s real name). $250.

DECORATIVE PAPER JEWEL

Very beautiful on a dark underground

High 11cm (4 inch)

Attaching it, your dress will not be damaged from this very light but extremely resistant brooch. It will be fixed with the incorporate magnet.

The strong magnet on back is covered with a hand sawed silk.

The picture was made before the jewel was really done. They are few very tiny changes in the resin part: three small holes like eaten from insects. When my camera is again OK I will insert another picture….

I didn’t get a chance to look at the proper listing before it got taken down, although there’s no clear reason why it would just disappear from Etsy. It makes me slightly suspicious.

Anyway, why would you want to pin something to yourself that looks like a dead flower? And who’s going to pay $250 for it?

I think this put me off…. “They are few very tiny changes in the resin part: three small holes like eaten from insect” Can I have a bug eaten brooch please?

  2. I’m confused. Isn’t it supposed to be paper? Why would it have insects eating through it? And then of course there is the question of why would anyone want a pin that looks like a dead flower, for that incredible amount of money?

For that much money, you’d think you could wait till your pic was ready, and perhaps keep the bug-eaten holes to yourself. Or if you’re going to dip cabbage in resin, pick a piece that wasn’t bug-eaten.

For that much money you could buy an orchid dipped in gold.

“The strong magnet on back is covered with a hand sawed silk.”
What does that even mean?? How do you saw silk? I’m not sure spell check would help in this case. (Learn the language, perhaps?)

Also…. I don’t care WTF it’s made of, how light it is, or if it’s got bug holes in it. It’s arse-ugly and not worth $250, not even if it were the last lettuce leaf and slug on the earth.

Hope no one actually bought it! Yikes!
