Hanging Jar for weddings, special events, fall decor. $8.00.

A vintage blue Ball jar can warm up your outdoor space this fall with our sturdy wire and chain attachment…
Planning a wedding? These vintage quart mason jars provide the “something old, something blue,” protect your candle from autumn breezes, and look beautiful as hanging vases to decorate your aisle or your reception.
This might look like any old jar, but it’s not. It’s what you didn’t know you were missing from your wedding.

WTF is it with the ball jar decor thing on Etsy?

LOL…. can’t you pick these up from the dollar store or the grocery store for jams and stuff? Oh wait… I guess they wouldn’t be vintage them. I might have to redo my wedding just so I can hang them randomly around the venue and boast about them being vintage!

#1 “hand made”
#2 tacky
#3 sheltered workshop project, not intending to disrespect sheltered workshops. They usually work on projects that have some USEFULNESS.

FOUND IN THE WEDDING GIFT GUIDE!! Just so everybody who happens to want to buy something on Etsy knows that you can buy 100% pure shit there, and it’s flaunted as SPECIAL.

The Biker wedding that took place next door would never have used these: too declasse, and they got married in the fuckin’ asphalt driveway.

This is perfect! You can use them for target practice after you are done pointing the shotgun at the groom.

I don’t really think your posts are very wtf anymore, I mean it’s $7 what more do you want for you money??? Do you know how much some jars cost?

You’ve missed the point. As people have already said: what is with the jar decor trend on Etsy and what is this doing in the wedding GG? People don’t really need to be told what to use a jar for.

Agreed. The Wedding Gift Guide should showcase handmade items that will make a wedding special, not Ball jars that may or may not be vintage, and are ubiquitous trash items. It’s only $7, but you can buy a case of 24 of them for under $10 at any discount store.

If it’s about the $, then Etsy has already lost. IT’S SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT QUALITY, STOOPID!

creativity isn’t something that exists in abundance on etsy, apparently.

This might look like any old jar, but it’s not. It’s EVERY old jar.
And it’s not even old. Buy them by the case for $9.99.

Damn, my neighbor threw out a few cases of those things a couple weeks ago. Should’ve grabbed them to plop a chain on and made “wedding decor”.

Guess What?
That ball jar is on the Etsy Front Page right now!!
