    That shop is one of Rokali’s faves. He’s promoted them in big PR spots. There was a big issue when I think it was a Sunday morning network news show he mentioned them on, and other sellers got pissed because the shop’s announcement specifically told buyers to go buy from their website to get cheaper prices. So they changed that announcement and moved the link to the Profile.

    Yeah, I believe that rokali is actually friends with these people. Explaining the promotion they’ve received and also making Etsy seem even more shortsighted and nepotistic, if that was possible.

    I don’t think it’s serving Etsy’s community of sellers or their investors to promote novelty items that only appeal to a fairly tiny group of hipsters. Also, it was nice on Martha Stewart when Martha pointed out that the sweatshirt made by rufeohearts whatever was poorly made and would tear very easily. Way to go, Etsy… send a message to the entire world that clothing you buy on Etsy is poorly made. As an Etsy clothing seller I was overjoyed.
